Balter Brewing surprised the beer world today by announcing their opening hours – starting tonight!

Located on the southern end of the Gold Coast, this morning the boys posted a handful of photos of the brewery with the caption:

Today they’ll

[the doors] slide open for the first time from 3pm – 7pm just for you. We’ll be pouring freshly kegged XPA and our new addition, the Alt Brown. If you can’t make it down today don’t worry, we’ll be open from 12-6pm on both Saturday and Sunday with food trucks Burgers By Junior (Sat) and Baracca (Sun). We’re so stoked to finally swing our doors open and would love to see you. 14 Traders Way, Currumbin

Balter Brewing, started by a few big name surfers (Mick Fanning, Joel Parkinson, Bede Durbidge and Josh Kerr), friend Stirling Howland, and a well-known Aussie brewer, Scott Hargrave, is one of the newest openings on the Gold Coast. Their aim: great beer and a good time. Punters have been chomping at the bit to know when they can visit the expansive “brewing palace” (their words) and whet their whistles with some fresh, local brew – and today is that day!

So far their XPA, found in various bars along the coast, has garnered nothing but positive reviews, with a slightly floral finish and an overall refreshing feel. Fully hopped but easy to drink, it’s the perfect compliment to the Gold Coast’s warm, sunny climate.

Swing by and say hello, go with friends and make an evening out of it. Most of all, make sure you do it with enjoyment.
