Happy goat with paddle of beers at Beard and Brau microbrewery

Beard and Brau is a Queensland farmhouse brewery staying very true to style: a farmhouse brewery on an actual farm.

Featuring a range of six core beers, several experimental brews and many one-off seasonal releases, Beard and Brau highlight the use of local ingredients, from honey to orange blossom, tart mulberries to stinging nettles. The beers, like the brewery’s name and logo, have a dog-related theme: Golden Paw, Red Tail, Black Snout and Bon Chiens farmhouse ale, for example, all in honour of their pet Schnauzers.

Assisting other local dreamers, Beard and Brau also works with contract, or gypsy, brewers and collaborate with many creative craft beer geniuses to invent new, seasonal flavours.

While the brewery doesn’t accept visitors for tours, their beers can be found on tap at the Malty Grain as well as in bottle shops around the region.
