After pick up and a short drive out to Sumner Park, we get behind the scenes of White Lies Brewing & Distilling where, though it’s tempting to sample all the incredible beers on offer, we’re here to get the lowdown on gin distillation. Sampling four unique gins, each paired with their proper garnish, you’ll feel like an expert in no time.

By this stage everyone’s worked up a fair appetite, so we will head to Mongrel for some tasty treats. Plenty of vegan and vegetarian options here, as the chef infuses Peruvian cuisine with modern Australian fare. Mongrel supports Loop Farmers and dishes up what’s produced locally, organically and in season. Plus they always support local craft beer and spirits, which is a bonus! Each guest also receives their choice of a G&T, local beer, or ginger beer with their meal.

Celebrating Brisbane’s iconic bridges in their own unique way, Eleven Bridges Distillery is an excellent place to finish the day, with a sample platter of four of their handmade gins, each paired with their garnish and a bottle of Long Rays Australian Tonic or soda.

All good things must come to an end, and we will drop you back within the city (or you can kick on and keep drinking gin!) at one of the pick up locations or a venue of your choice (within reason).

Temporarily closed due to flooding.

Currently moving to a new venue in Milton, Milton Rum is temporarily housed at Craft’d Grounds in Albion.

To wash down a fantastic meal, we’ll finish the day at Milton Rum Distillery, where head distiller Alex will treat you to the history of the venue and walk everyone through some rum tasting. Their old-world approach with modern techniques allows Milton Rum Distillery to produce premium cane spirits with a difference.

All good things must come to an end, and we will drop you back within the city (or you can kick on and keep drinking rum!) at one of the pick up locations or a venue of your choice (within reason).

Where a location is indicated, we will pick up you outside the venue so please keep an eye out for our van – you can’t miss it!

Pick Ups:

  • The Gresham (308 Queen Street, Brisbane) is an historic pub in central Brisbane. From Central Station, exit toward Ann Street. Past the ANZAC Memorial and through Post Office Square, next to the NAB bank, you’ll find The Gresham tucked away. Alternatively you can exit toward Edward Street, head down the hill and turn left onto Queen Street. Walk about 1/2 block and The Gresham will be next to the NAB on your left. Please note The Gresham does not open until 4pm on Saturdays and is closed on Sundays; we will still pick up here and there are plenty of places around Post Office Square to get a coffee and/or breakfast.
  • Prince Consort Hotel (230 Wickham St, Fortitude Valley) is a very short walk from the Fortitude Valley Station – come out, hang a left and turn right and there you are! Perfect for a morning cuppa before the tour.

We are flexible with our drop-off locations within the city based on guests’ needs and requests.

Included in the price: transportation in our private, air-conditioned van, guided distillery tour with explanation of the distilling process, all samples at the venues we visit, lunch with a drink, education and history, snacks, and witty commentary (well, we think it is).

Please note: itinerary subject to change based on traffic, closures, new openings, events or spur-of-the-moment decisions, however we will ensure you receive everything listed above.

Before booking please understand that you may be travelling with other people and the 1.5m social distancing guidelines may not be possible in the short van trips between venues. If you do not feel comfortable with this please contact us to discuss other options.

Not finding the tour you want on the date you need? Give us a call – we might have created a special tour for the day that we can get you on, or we may be sold out. But you’ll never know unless you ask. We’re always happy to help and check availability for you.
