Our full day Southern Sessions Brisbane brewery tour shows off Brisbane’s southern hospitality.

We visit some outstanding, award-winning Brisbane craft breweries and get you behind the scenes to meet the staff, the brewers, and other beer lovers. Highly regarded as producing some of the best independent beer in Queensland, you’ll be surprised with how much excellent beer the river city is producing, with more openings every year!

With new brews on tap all the time, the lineup of venues may change from tour to tour, but we guarantee four breweries, 16-20 unique tasters, and a delicious lunch to keep you fuelled up.

Our Southern Sessions tour visits four of the following venues.
We may mix it up a bit, but below is a rough itinerary of the day.
Lunch is generally served at the second brewery we visit.

After pick up, we will start the day at Brisbane Brewing Co for a great tasting paddle and explanation of what goes into your beer. Sample some of their award-winning core range or maybe see what seasonal brews are on tap. We’ll cover the beer essentials and provide complete explanation of the brewing process.

Revel Brewing Co in Bulimba has hot, fresh pizzas with tasty, cold beers to match. We can relax and enjoy some great food, sip on super fresh beers, and maybe pat some pooches at this dog-friendly venue.

We make our way to Yeerongpilly to visit the quickly-growing Slipstream. With so many great brews on offer, we recommend you pair up with a buddy to taste as many as possible! A bustling place for locals, Slipstream is one of the best in the business – and we’re sure you’ll agree! Pick up a few 4-packs or fill a growler or squealer of their fine product so you can savour it later tonight!

Proudly pouring independently brewed beers, Hiker Brewing Co ties together delicious beers, a spacious kid-and-dog-friendly venue, and a love of the outdoors. If he’s around, ask co-owner and head brewer Dan to show off his incredible bird tattoos! A solid core range and delicious, award-winning seasonal beers, Hiker’s growing bigger and better each brew.

At Ballistic Beer Co, where their VIP treatment gets guests onto the brewery floor – truly in the thick of things! – and treated to four of their finest! The award-winning beers here are top notch (and clearly we aren’t the only ones who think so), so we will save room in the esky for any takeaways you grab. There’s a food truck here in case you’re feeling peckish (food not included at this stop) so feel free to grab something to munch on.

The stories, the artwork, the beer – there’s nothing but the best of the best here at Helios Brewing Co. Set a little off the beaten path and maybe a bit hard to find on your own, we’re happy to show you around! With all beer named for Greek gods, goddesses and monsters, here’s a good chance to brush up on your ancient mythology! Powered by the sun, Helios proves just how strong solar power can be.

Where a location is indicated, we will pick up you outside the venue so please keep an eye out for our van – you can’t miss it!

Pick Ups:

  • The Gresham (308 Queen Street, Brisbane) is an historic pub in central Brisbane. From Central Station, exit toward Ann Street. Past the ANZAC Memorial and through Post Office Square, next to the NAB, you’ll find The Gresham tucked away. Alternatively, you can exit toward Edward Street, head down the hill and turn left onto Queen Street. Walk about 1/2 block and The Gresham will be next to the NAB on your left. Please note The Gresham does not open until 4pm on Saturdays and is closed on Sundays; we will still pick up here and there are plenty of places around Post Office Square to get a coffee and/or breakfast.
  • Prince Consort Hotel (230 Wickham St, Fortitude Valley) is a very short walk from the Fortitude Valley Station – come out, hang a left and turn right and there you are!

We are flexible with our drop-off locations within the city based on guests’ needs and requests.

Included in the price: transportation in our private, air-conditioned van, guided brewery tour with explanation of the brewing process, all beer samples at the breweries we visit, lunch, beer education and history, snacks, and witty commentary (well, we think it is).

Please note that we are visiting working breweries and it’s suggested you wear closed-toe shoes so you don’t miss out on any of the fun. Also, since they don’t always run on a set schedule, we will try and catch the brewers in action but that can’t always be guaranteed; keep an open mind on the day because no matter what or who we see, the beers are always epic. Sometimes the itineraries will change at a whim; this may be because of traffic, a last-minute decision from the brewery or any number of things, so we ask for your patience and flexibility.

If there is a brewery or distillery you’re keen to check out, please include the request in the “Special Requirements” section when making your booking and we will try our best to make it happen.
