Check out the full itinerary:

Please note: Guests must NOT consume any alcohol prior to their 90-minute axe-throwing package; we recommend a hearty breakfast before starting the day.

After pick up we will head to Lumber Punks in Miami for a tutorial on axe-throwing, and the first bulls-eye gets bragging rights for the day! Our 90-minute session will teach guests everything they need to know to aim straight and throw accurately.

Throwing axes is thirsty work, so we’ll wander the few hundred metres (or drive, most likely) to Lost Palms Brewing. Here guests will discover a unique, chilled-out space filled with bright colours and thirst-quenching beers. Comfy couches mean you can sit back and sip your brews in comfort. We’ll go through all the important beer info here, including ingredients and history.

Now it’s time for some lunch! Ducking over Bine Craft Beer Bar you can choose from an array of lunch options, each paired with a paddle from their rotating tap selection.

After some lunch, we’ll duck into a residential neighbourhood to be surprised and delighted with what Black Hops has on tap; here we will have the chance to check out their brewery and taste their fresh brews. If head brewer Michael “Govs” McGovern is around, he’ll take time out to answer questions you may have and tell the stories behind each of the beers on offer.

Or maybe instead we’ll visit the original and iconic Gold Coast brewery: Burleigh Brewing, where we will walk through the brewery and learn about their history as the longest-operating brewery on the Gold Coast. Taste their core range, plus maybe a “bit on the side” (seasonal release beers) and marvel at the size of their brewery.

Alternatively, maybe we’ll decide to finish the day at the so-hot-it’s-cool Balter (maybe we’ll even spot a surfer or two!), where beach meets beer. Award-winning brewer Scotty Hargreave creates some delicious beers to keep you refreshed, and we’ll have a tasting paddle here.

The day will see us visiting TWO of the FOUR breweries on the Gold Coast, along with lunch. Throughout the day we keep you well-fed and full of delicious beer, with plenty of samples accompanied by tasting notes and witty commentary. The brewers are happy to show you the ropes, help you understand the brewing process and answer any questions you may have.

Where a location is indicated, we will pick up you outside the venue so please keep an eye out for our van – you can’t miss it!

Pick Ups:

  • Helensvale Station is a central stop for anyone on the train coming from either direction. We’ll be waiting on the heavy rail side near where the taxis are so you can’t miss us.
  • Loose Moose (Oasis Centre, 75 Surf Parade, Broadbeach) is on the ground floor of the Oasis Centre in the heart of Broadbeach. Easy to reach by G:Link, the Loose Moose is near the taxi rank at the main entrance to the centre. *Due to construction work, we will be waiting across from the Oasis Centre/Sofitel Hotel near Moo-Moos Restaurant*

Drop Offs:

We are flexible with our drop-off locations within the city based on guests’ needs and requests.

Included in the price: 90-minute axe-throwing session with instruction, transportation in our private, air-conditioned van, guided brewery tour with explanation of the brewing process, all beer samples at the breweries we visit, lunch, beer education and history, water & snacks, and witty commentary (well, we think it is).

Please note: itinerary subject to change based on traffic, closures, new openings, events or spur-of-the-moment decisions, however we will ensure you receive everything listed above. Closed-toe shoes required.

Not finding the tour you want on the date you need? Give us a call – we might have created a special tour for the day that we can get you on, or we may be sold out. But you’ll never know unless you ask. We’re always happy to help and check availability for you.
