Project Description

beer education at Lost Palms on a Coldie on the Goldie full day Gold Coast brewery tour

Coldie on the Goldie Brewery Tour

Queensland’s Gold Coast isn’t all surf and sand, with award-winning breweries appearing faster than the next wave! This tour ducks into residential neighbourhoods, skirts the sea, and shows that there’s more to the coast than meets the eye.

Spend the day in air-conditioned comfort during our Gold Coast beer tour. Visit one of the original and most iconic Gold Coast breweries and receive a guided tour, aim for the stars in hopes of meeting a pro surfer, play some basketball or just watch the world pass by as we fill the day with unheard stories and witty commentary. See what all the fuss is about at the Gold Coast’s highly-acclaimed craft breweries.

If you aren’t sure you have the time to spend all day with us, or maybe already have lunch plans, check out the original half-day Gold Coast brewery tour, Quickie on the Coast – still plenty of indie brews to be enjoyed.

  • Tour operates on Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays

  • Pick up times: 11:15am – Helensvale Station / 11:45am – Sandbar (Surfers Paradise) / 12:00pm – Loose Moose (Broadbeach)

With fresh and funky Miami vibes, Lost Palms is all about embracing the Gold Coast lifestyle! Here we have the chance to kick back and relax, try some of their delicious cold brews, and learn all about beer. If head brewer Chris is around he can take us through the brewing process to get a better understanding of what makes your beer beer.

We might also grab lunch here – they have the best chicken burgers around! – before we continue on with our Gold Coast brewery tour experience.

The Gold Coast’s first brewpub, Precinct Brewing, opened in an old auto electrician’s space and converted it into a funky, music-filled, family-friendly venue serving delicious pizzas (we may enjoy one for lunch!) and beers poured straight from the tanks. Featuring a range of beers brewed on site, as well as a rotating list of local, independent craft beers, it’s easy to kick back and stay all day.

The Gold Coast’s first Belgian brewery, Madocke Brewing has swung open the doors to their brand new, full-scale brewery! A welcoming venue with an authentic outdoor beer garden, the charm here makes it hard to tear yourself away. Guests relax with true-blue Belgian beer made right here on the Gold Coast and can hear the story of their humble beginnings. A core-range of beers plus guest taps ensure there is something for everyone to enjoy.

Kicking goals across Australia, Black Hops Brewing have built an intimate venue with a tasting room perfectly structured to sample their range of delicious beers. With 16 taps, there’s always something new and different – especially as part of their “recon series” – and some flavours may challenge your tastebuds. If they’re around, we will take the time to speak to the brewers, learn about the brewing process, and see how everything functions by getting up close and personal.

Depending on the tour, we might start the day at Black Hops Brewing in Biggera Waters before heading to lunch.

Queensland’s longest-running and largest brewery, the family-operated Burleigh Brewing, has been a pioneer in bringing craft beer to the masses. You may know them best for their Bighead Lager, but they offer so much more than that. Here you get to see where the magic happens as you sample their well-known beers and try some special releases – maybe even take some home with you! If we time it right, we may get to indulge in a tour* of their brewery.

*Tours of the brewery are currently postponed due to COVID.

Whether we choose to overlook the stainless steel tanks or enjoy the sun on comfy outdoor cushions, Balter Brewing makes guests never want to leave! Their slogan, “With Enjoyment”, comes across in all aspects of their beers and venue – delicious, welcoming and a great place to end the tour. Witness beer production in the background as we sample their newly tapped brews and learn about what’s still to come.

At your request, we will drop you off at one of our partner pubs, where you can keep drinking delicious beer to your hearts’ content.

Where a location is indicated, we will pick up you outside the venue so please keep an eye out for our van – you can’t miss it!

Pick Ups:

  • Loose Moose (Oasis Centre, 75 Surf Parade, Broadbeach) is on the ground floor of the Oasis Centre in the heart of Broadbeach. Easy to reach by G:Link, the Loose Moose is near the taxi rank at the main entrance to the centre.
  • Helensvale Station is a central stop for anyone on the train coming from either direction. We’ll be waiting on the heavy rail side near where the taxis are so you can’t miss us.
  • Sandbar (52 Esplanade, Surfers Paradise) overlooks the lapping waves of Surfers Paradise. Start your day here with a delicious breakfast or sample beers from around the globe (mainly Australia, New Zealand and the US) by the bottle or on tap (but don’t get too far ahead of us!). A great way to start or end your day, Sandbar is one block north of Cavill Mall. (Feel free to grab a seat and a beer prior to our meeting at 12pm)

We are flexible with our drop-off locations within the city based on guests’ needs and requests.
